Feel like it is hard to ADVANCE in PILATES??

Most Clients never experience Advance Reformer or Mat Pilates. Like any sport dedication is key, wanting "it" is only one part of the equation, and showing up are all important steps in the exercise process. Here, clients do achieve an advance level of Pilates. The instructors at Core Pilates ask important questions during the lesson that Que the mind into the movement and what is "wanted" out of "right now!"

Pilates from an intermediate to advance level is hard work and not easy. Unlike most exercise where you can move "in and out" of a routine is the difference between Contrology and everything else. Visualization and Fantasising about the body and how it exercises will go beyond "showing-up!" In the old days clients did not exercise in front of mirrors, in Pilates. The instructor's goal was for the client to visualize so eventually they would embody the method creating balance and all the change they ever dreamed. These days it is too hard to get clients to focus on themselves with racing minds, little patients, and unrealistic expectations. The mirrors become a great tool for this reason. Nothing says "wake-up, pay attention, and get real with yourself" like watching your body move in the mirror.

The mirror is not negative but sometimes clients are. The mirror helps us encourage the client to become present during the sequence of movements and not be overwhelmed by the inner self critic. Here and now! Funneling the minds attention onto the body so the birth of "change" and "advancing" can become real.

Hell yes this can be discouraging and it is okay! Let your instructor be the guiding light and support this non-judgemental observer of the self and give you the tools to visualize exactly what you want so it will eventually take form.
