Not even surgery could perfect the backside like Side-Splits on the Reformer! The trick; using the legs equally as you send the carriage out (inner and outer thigh) and defiantly when returning the carriage to its starting position. While working the carriage of the Reformer imagine the muscles of the legs are pulling up.... when the muscles of the hamstrings meet the muscles of the bottom they collide and the shelf will form! ;) Beautiful!
Another bottom lifter is Knees-Off! As the carriage goes out this exercise not only lengthens the tops of the thighs- it will give you a perky and happy butt if you give an extra squeeze when the legs are fully extended.... trick is keeping the bottom engaged throughout the the entire set of 10! Now if that doesn't get your heart pumping, we're at a loss of words....
Nothing lifts the rear like working opposition using all Pilates Gratz Equipment and lets face-it everyone could use the help from a Core Pilates Instructor's relentlessly drilling it into your muscle memory to "squeeze that backside...." Have you ever met a Pilates Instructor with not-exciting rear? Even if you think your body doesn't produce, you are wrong!
